Tommy G. Smith is Board Certified by the Florida Bar in the specialty of elder law. He is a member of the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys and the Academy of Florida Elder Law Attorneys. He focuses his practice on providing services for wills, powers of attorney, trusts, probate and estate planning, as well as for seniors and people with special needs in the areas of public benefits and health and long-term care planning. Mr. Smith also assists clients with business, labor and employment issues.
Mr. Smith joined Shell, Fleming, Davis & Menge in 2010. He is a member of the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys and the Academy of Florida Elder Law Attorneys. These are professional associations of attorneys who are dedicated to improving the quality of legal services for seniors and people with special needs in the areas of public benefits, wills and trusts, probate and estate planning, and health and long-term care planning.
Mr. Smith is licensed to practice before all Florida state courts. He graduated magna cum laude from Liberty University School of Law in Lynchburg, Virginia. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Smith was the business administrator for a local church after a long career in industry in various management and technical capacities. As a certified quality engineer and manager, he received a corporate Circle of Excellence Award for leading ISO 9001 certification efforts. Mr. Smith and his wife have been active in church for many years. They have one son who is a graduate of the University of Florida.
