Tobias has a great business sense and is able to provide counsel that is both practical and wise. He makes every effort to understand our business and offers sage advice and I respect his judgment and perspective enormously. I recommend him strongly.
I have had the pleasure with working with some of the best and/or most well respected EPLI litigators in the country. After working with Tobias on a complex case in 2011, I would easily place him in this top category. He is extremely thorough and knowledgeable, and completely reliable in my experience. When he makes a promise, he keeps it. I also really respect how pleasant Tobias is to work with. As a client, he really listens to you: if you have a good idea or strategy he will give it serious thought. If he disagrees, it will be cordial and fact based. As to opponents or third parties, he maintains this highly pleasant and respectful demeanor. He is as competent and tough a litigator as you will find, but he does not cause unnecessary conflicts with third parties. I consider his overall balance of skills (people, technical, organizational) to be as good as any attorney in any line I have had the pleasure of working with, or against. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone needing the absolute best in class for EPLI/EEO defense work.
