My experience with Tim was great. My husband and I interviewed other Immigration lawyers before choosing Tim – we chose Tim because he was by far the most knowledgeable, respectful and informative. He explained how the entire process works, what we could expect, and was very fair with his fees. Seeking legal counsel for the first time can be very intimidating – but with Tim we always felt very comfortable. We never felt judged or like we were alone in the process. I would strongly recommend Tim to anyone seeking to hire the top Immigration attorney in Colorado!
"I found Timothy and his Bakken Law through a friend of mine the spring of 2011. I came over as a tourist and got married two months later. I started the "green card" process late March and already in early June I had received my conditional green card, valid for two years. I did most of the paperwork my self, since I had worked with immigration issues in my home country, but Timothy and his Bakken Law helped me go through the documents and gave me advices that was really helpful and useful at the time and also later in the process. His work fees was more than great, and I don't think I would have gotten my application accepted that fast, without his help. I would like to recommend his work, integrity and services to other immigrants to the USA."
I learned about Tim through a recommendation. I benefited from his services in employment-based visa (EB3 -> EB2 upgrade) and eventually marriage-based green card. From his perspective, I was probably a small to mid sized revenue client. However, I felt like he treated me the same as any other client. He's always tuned into my needs (for my level of involvement in the process, the frequency of updates on my case, etc.). When DOMA was struck down, he was at a conference to learn about the implications. He called me from the conference to tell me what it meant for me. I didn't even know he did marriage-based green cards so I was already Googling other attorneys. We got our entire application completed and submitted in one month which was no small task. His fees were pretty darn reasonable compared to some bigger law firms. My services were billed on a fixed fee basis.
I am very grateful for Timothy Bakken's help, guiding me through the immigration process. He answered all my questions quickly, clearly and completely, and prepared my documents quickly, and most importantly, got me a green card!
I am committed to providing clients with personalized, accessible, and creative immigration law representation. Like most areas of law, not to mention life in general, immigration law practice and interactions with government agencies are increasingly standardized. My response to the bureaucratic nature of the world is to focus more on a personal approach to immigration law because, ultimately, immigration decisions are intensely personal and often very stressful. My goal as an attorney is to achieve my clients’ goals while limiting the stress of the immigration process.
