Tom was an outstanding attorney who did wonders for my case. He consistently fought until he got me the deal I wanted. He is always on time and always makes himself available to his clients, even on occasion he made himself available to talk when it wasn't normal business hours. If you want an attorney that will win your case Tom is the man!

Attorney Tom Ward handled a very sticky case for my son resulting from a bar scuffle that got out of hand. It was not a matter of who did what, but a case of attempting to negotiate the appropriate defense for the charges. It was a very messy situation the we believe was handled very badly by the public defenders office. Mr. Ward picked up the case after a year of decisions that were already in place. He was able to negotiate that the charges be reconsidered from the beginning. It was not hopeful at all for my son, but Tom pulled it off with incredible skill and professionalism. We were not looking to "get out" of anything, but just wanted fair representation of the case in front of the judge. Mr. Ward delivered entirely. He is professional, passionate, compassionate, and very talented in assessing possible outcomes and potential solutions. It is also very clear that Mr. Ward cares about the work that he does.

With nearly twenty years of courtroom experience, Tom Ward’s law practice is devoted to protecting the rights of those accused of crimes. Tom is a founding partner of McDermott Stuart & Ward LLP, a criminal defense and civil litigation firm located in Denver, Colorado. At the firm, he diligently and aggressively represents his clients in charges ranging from serious felonies to misdemeanors and traffic offenses. Tom has years of experience protecting his clients from loss of freedom, financial harm, as well as damage to career and reputation. His criminal defense practice includes but is not limited to, drug offenses, sexual assault, white-collar crimes, homicide, assault, juvenile crimes, weapons offenses, DUI, traffic, domestic violence, theft, and forgery. He also represents his clients in criminal appeals and post-conviction matters.
Tom graduated from the University of Colorado School of Law in 1997. After a brief tenure with the ACLU of Colorado, he served as a Deputy State Public Defender for the Colorado Public Defender’s Office.He founded his own firm, The Ward Law Firm, PC, in 2001. As a sole practitioner, he built a great reputation for providing top-notch criminal defense representation to individuals and corporations in a variety of state and federal cases.
