  It is with pleasure that I offer this recommendation for Robert Burkett. I was privileged to work with him when my law firm, DLA Piper, represented Conseco, Inc. in a substantial series of cases. The cases, which were both factually and legally complex, required frequent decisions concerning a broad range of strategic, tactical and substantive issues. Robert was professionally and personally impressive throughout that process. Despite his responsibility for multiple Conseco legal matters in addition to our cases, Robert thoroughly analyzed and retained all of the information that we provided to him.   I have had the pleasure of working with Bob Burkett for over 18 years during his tenure as corporate counsel at Conseco. I have served as an outside counsel to Conseco for those years and Bob has been tremendous to work for. He is tough, smart and gets to the point quickly in litigation.
