Our situation in helping dad protect his assets was far from a typical estate planning. Aside from identifying the mistakes of a previous estate planning attorney dad used, Ricky Nelson was also very knowledgeable in helping untangle our internal family complications and gave sound advice about the changes needed to protect my dad's estate for him to use in his final years. True, Ricky was being paid to do all this, but he showed a great personal interest in not only setting up a much improved estate plan but in identifying areas that exposed potential future problems if ignored. I cannot say enough about the assistance he has been to the family and the peace of mind resulting from his advice in correcting many serious problems that existed. Ricky was very pleasant to work with and always courteous. I was also impressed by how promptly he responded to both phone calls and email. I would highly recommend him.

My mother had multiple estates during various seasons of her life and Ricky helped us navigate through those estates and establish a new one. Though the estate itself wasn't complex it had to be carefully thought out due to the existing estates and he was great. Even though we were helping our mother get this done and she wanted us there throughout the process, Ricky never lost sight of who he was serving and went to great pains to make sure she understood everything. It was honestly a great relief to her to get this done, it was definitely weighing heavy on her and literally keeping her up at nights as she contiplated the various estates. Thanks to Ricky she is at peace again and doesn’t have to worry.

I can't say enough good things about Ricky. Ricky is the most honest and upfront person I have known. I have known Ricky for 15 years, his integrity and attention to detail make him not one of the best, but the BEST attorney. He'll always give you the whole and honest truth in dealing with your issue. You never have to worry about him billing you for every 5 min phone call or 1 minute email. I have and will continue to send him my legal work as well I recommend him to everyone I know.

I have focused my legal practice to estate planning and asset protection, so that I could become as much of an expert as I could. I continue to update my practice as the laws change, but I've always been focused on three things: 1) Make sure my clients have good counsel and that they understand their estate plans; 2) Ensure that their estate documents are up-to-date and the necessary provisions are included in their documents; and 3) To provide prompt service.
Somethings to know about me that some people find interesting: I was in the Marine Corps Reserves for 10 years; I lived in Norway for two years; I have lived in five states: Utah, California, Hawaii, Conneticut, and Florida; and I played rugby for a college club team.
