Attorney Roberts was born in San-Fernando, Trinidad & Tobago. In December 1999, she immigrated to the United States with her parents and two brothers. She is a naturalized U.S. Citizen. Attorney Roberts is of a multi-cultural background.
In 2009, Attorney Roberts graduated summa cum laude from N.C. State University with a B.A. in Religious Studies. In 2012, she graduated from Liberty Theological Seminary with a M.A. in Theological Studies. Attorney Roberts' childhood dream to become an attorney became a reality when she graduated magna cum laude from Atlanta's John Marshall Law School.
While attending law school, Attorney Roberts received several awards for her outstanding performance in several courses. She received the CALI student award for Legal Writing, Research and Analysis I & II, Constitutional Law I, Criminal Procedure, Immigration Law, and Domestic Relations. Attorney Roberts also received the Custer Tuggle Award for her outstanding performance in Domestic Relations. She received the Book Award from the Dean of her law school as a result of being the recipient of several CALI student awards.
While attending law school, Attorney Roberts served on Atlanta's John Marshall Law School's Law Journal as one of the executive articles editor. She authored two articles entitled "Immigration Detention Facilities: Do Limitations on "Access To Counsel" Within Immigration Detention Facilities Violate Procedural Due Process Rights Guaranteed By The 5th Amendment To The U.S. Constitution?" and "Senate Bill 365: Fair Business Practices Act; Enact Offender Reentry Reforms As Recommended By The Georgia Council On Criminal Justice Reform." Both articles were chosen for publication in the law school's law journal.
Also, while attending law school, Attorney Roberts interned with Solano Law Firm, LLC, Catholic Charities of Atlanta , The City of Atlanta Office of The Public Defender, and Barrios and Virguez, LLC, where she gained practical experience in several areas of law.
Attorney Roberts serves on the Board of Tree of Life Ministries International and Ken Roberts World Evangelism, ministries which are founded and led by her parents, both of whom are Pastors.
In her spare time, Attorney Roberts enjoys spending time with her 5 year old son, her parents, and siblings. She also enjoys museums, art, and research.
