I had a problem with the IRS due equally to my mistake and a misreading by the IRS. I needed a lawyer who had requisite experience with this kind of problem and since I had never dealt with the IRS was understandably nervous. I found a champion in Peter Mancini! He is very courteous, and competent, and handled this problem quite efficiently AND expeditiously. He is an absolutely outstanding lawyer and a genuinely fine gentleman.
We hired Peter to assist us in drawing up a Will and Trust. He was very careful to take into consideration our financial situation, both present and future, and our wishes. He crafted a trust, powers of attorney, wills, and pet trust for our family. We are very happy with the products, and we feel that we are in a more stable position moving forward into our future.
I came to know Peter as a thorough and knowledgable colleague. Peter's high level of experience with finical institutions is apparent when you meet him and get the chance to pick his brain. This vast pool of knowledge comes through a pleasant and friendly demeanor. I enjoyed the time I was able to work with Peter and learned a great deal from him.
I have known Pete since college (UofM), and in the ensuing nearly quarter century have repeatedly returned to him for financial services, advice, and just plain help because I know I can depend on his expertise, efficiency, and honesty. In the earlier years of his career, he helped me with a few somewhat complex vehicle purchases - solving both timing and paperwork challenges with ease. Later while at HCB he underwrote loans and provided sound advice for our business. I have no doubt that despite being separated by half the country, I will continue to rely on Pete for his financial expertise for the next quarter century and more
Peter's honesty and desire to help my company achieve our financial goals was both soothing and inspiring. He was thorough in his assessment of our current financial state, presented many options that would help us, and then walked us through the process. His professionalism is top notch and I would recommend him as both a banker and a financial consultant at any time.
Every time we have worked with Peter the process was efficient and the results were perfect. Our questions were answered quickly and with a deep understanding of not only the process but tailored to our specific needs. Peter spent the time to understand our needs and matched us with the product that fit our lives the best.
Peter did an excellent job walking my husband and I through the loan process. He explained the ins and outs of loans to us extremely well, and we felt completely comfortable with all of his suggestions. We used Peter's services again when we re-financed our mortgage, something that he suggested we do when interested rates dipped to a desirable level. He made the suggestion unprompted! He saved us 5 years on our mortgage, and tens of thousands of dollars. I would recommend to anyone who is in need of a loan to speak with Peter. He's meticulous and pragmatic but extremely helpful and knowledgable.
Peter is licensed to practice law in Michigan and has been admitted to the U.S. Tax Court. He graduated, magna cum laude and in the top of his class, from W.M.U. Cooley Law School with a J.D. in Transactional Law. He also received the Distinguished Student Award in the term he graduated. Currently, he is pursuing a LL.M. (Masters of Law) in Tax Law there too.
Previously, Peter received a M.B.A. in Business Management from Eastern Michigan University, and he received a Graduate Degree in Banking from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. And, following in a family tradition, he also graduated from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, with two B.A.s: English Literature and Medieval History.
In his first career, he was a banker. For over twenty years, he worked in banks and credit unions in Michigan and Indiana. During this time, he worked in nearly every area within a financial institution (from a teller to an executive and everything in between). From this career experience, Peter has learned how to listen to clients and hear their needs, to create a custom plan to resolve their issues, and to implement plans effectively.
