Paul Ruby is an Associate Attorney with Robert Lubin and Associates. His practice is limited exclusively to business immigration matters. The vast majority of his practice involves EB-5 matters, where he handles both investor petitions and developer-side work. Paul has filed investor petitions on behalf of clients investing in both Regional Center-based and independent projects and has worked with developers in structuring EB-5 projects in a wide range of fields, including hotels and resorts, independent and assisted living facilities, restaurants, casinos, and mixed-use developments. He also assists with the operation and administration of the Mississippi Development Regional Center, which developed the Magnolia Bluffs Casino as well a number of hotels across Mississippi. The balance of Paul's practice involves representing clients in other business immigration matters, primarily clients seeking L and E-2 visas.Prior to joining the firm, Paul served as the Editor of the legal and resources sections of "The EB-5 Book," a resource book for EB-5 attorneys and project developers, in which he also authored the section on investor petitions. He has spoken on EB-5 matters to audiences of attorneys, project developers, and service providers across the country. Paul earned a B.A. from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island and a J.D. from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was admitted to the Wisconsin Bar in 2007. His legal career began in litigation, where he was lead counsel on a precedent-setting appellate matter and on more than a dozen jury trials. Later, he served as general counsel at a well-known immigration publishing company.Paul is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). He was born in Boston and grew up in the suburbs of New York City.
