Patricia Muñoz is a co-founding Member of Armstrong & Munoz, PLLC. Since becoming licensed to practice law in Texas, Patricia has practiced immigration law exclusively in both the nonprofit and private sector. Patricia earned her law degree from American University, Washington College of Law in Washington, D.C. During her time there, she served as a student attorney in the Women and the Law Clinic, and served as a legal intern for Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington. Patricia earned her Bachelor’s Degree in both Sociology and Spanish from the George Washington University in Washington, D.C. A native of Dallas, Patricia returned to the city and initiated her career by serving as a Staff Attorney for Catholic Charities of Dallas with a focus on representing victims of domestic violence and other violent crime. She learned the importance of collaborating with non-legal service providers and agencies in order to provide holistic legal representation. Patricia’s passion is in victims-based cases: U nonimmigrant visas, Violence Against Women Act self-petitions, and Special Immigrant Juvenile Status. As the daughter of immigrants, Patricia understands the hard work and sacrifices immigrants make to establish their lives in a new country. This direct link sparked her initial interest in immigrant rights. Upon learning about the issues and obstacles immigrants face on a daily basis, she felt a strong desire to serve and support immigrants of all backgrounds.
