I worked closely with Melanie for several years while she was a paralegal and full-time undergrad student with the goal of becoming an attorney. Melanie never lost sight of her goal even though she was working and going to school full-time and, most importantly, a dedicated mother to her young children. I was very impressed with her ability to submit top-notch work (both as a paralegal and as a student) in light of her multiple obligations and constraints on her time. It takes an intelligent, dedicated, highly motivated, and organized individual to be able to accomplish all that Melanie has accomplished in such a short amount of time. I was very excited to hear that Melanie achieved her goal of becoming an attorney and am proud to call her a colleague. Anybody that knows her knows that she is a strong advocate for her clients, communicates clearly and can relate to a wide audience, and is focused on the pursuit of justice. I look forward to watching her continue to grow and excel as she sets out in this new phase of her career!

I assisted in hiring and training Melanie as a paralegal, and she did not disappoint. She is an intelligent, hard worker who stayed with the firm long after I was gone. She had and still has big plans for her legal career, despite many challenges, and I'm not surprised to see that she is getting closer and closer to her goals.
