After discovering my husband's family failed to disclose to him important literary rights he was entitled to and after talking to firms who saw years of litigation punctuated with dollar signs, we hired Megan Knowlton Balne. She was forensic in her research, a tough negotiator, stuck to the budget and timeline and delivered a settlement we can live with. Given the nasty nature of family matters, she structured the payment of royalties through a neutral party. One never wants to be in such a difficult and emotionally-charged matter, but should the need arise for a great attorney, we would retain her again in a heartbeat.
