Matt was great in helping us navigate our real estate issue. He gave sound advice and clarified many things we had trouble understanding. This helped us to decide our best course of action which Matt handled to our satisfaction. Our only complaint would be that Matt wasn't the greatest initially at keeping us in the loop. After expressing our concern with that he addressed it and it was a non-issue. Without Matt's assistance we would of had a very, very, long road.
Matthew and I first met in 2007 when I hired him for a personal matter. I was extremely pleased with the outcome. When I started my business some issues arose and he was there to answer all my questions. I have used Matthew on numerous occasions and very happy with the service he has provided me and my business. Matthew is extremely personable and easy to talk with. I'm not familiar with the going rate of an attorney but he and his firm are worth every penny. Thank you Matthew and the Van Valer Law Firm.
Matthew and I were opposing counsel on a covenant violation lawsuit. The facts we were dealing with dealt with a definition that read from a different perspective could have lead to a lenghty fact-finding process and perhaps even a jury trial. We were able to put our heads together in the best interests of our clients to come to an amicable resolution. Matthew is a very friendly gentleman who works in the best interest of his client.
It was a pleasure getting to know Matt through Leadership Johnson County, a local leadership program geared towards bringing a diverse group of individuals together in an effort to improve the community in which they live. Matt's calm demeanor and witty personality helped make the program even more enjoyable for me. He takes great pride in everything that he does and has the ability and determination to see it through. Matt embodies the traits of a natural leader and makes those around him better, making him a great asset to any team.
Matt was a pleasure to work with while we were doing our project for Leadership Johnson County. He was easy going, yet if we asked anything of him, he was right on it and had it done to perfection in a timely manner.
I have known Matt for several years. Recently, I had the opportunity to work with him during a community leadership program. He impressed me most with his ability to listen, attention to detail, and ability to deliver results. I would highly recommend Matt to lead any project.
While passing the bar in both Indiana and Texas in the same year, I decided early on to stay true to my roots as a Hoosier and remain close to family in Johnson County, Indiana. For eight-and-a-half years, I practiced with one of the largest law firms in the county where I focused on bankruptcy, consumer rights, foreclosure defense, and general litigation. In 2015, I decided to make the leap and open the Law Office of Matthew M. Cree, where I continue to provide personal, caring service to those facing the most stressful times of their lives. In my personal life, I enjoy the company of my family, which includes four dogs and five cats. The menagerie of animals most likely has something to do with my serving as the president of the board of directors for the Humane Society of Johnson County and my seeming inability to say "no" to taking in stray kittens. I have a deep love for my community and am proud to be a 2010 graduate of Leadership Johnson County. More recently, I had the pleasure of assisting with the development of a non-profit destination marketing organization to promote and grow Johnson County tourism and business.
