Ms. Moss is a wonderful mediator. We had a complex commercial case with difficult individuals. The claims involved cross claims, third party interveners, etc. Ms. Moss was able to not only expediently settle the case (in 1 session) but her billing was very reasonable. Everyone was pleased with how well she did her job. I would highly recommend her.
I would certainly recommend Ms. Moss to serve as a mediator. Not only was she thorough, but her years of experience and attention to the underlying circumstances of the case allowed her to command the mediation table and advance the negotiations and encourage dialogue at every step. She worked swiftly and diligently until the matter was resolved to the satisfaction of all parties.
I highly recommend Ms. Moss for mediation of complex, multifaceted matters. She is one of the hardest working mediators I have had the pleasure of working with, spending the time to familiarize herself with the facts and issues prior to the mediation, which results in a more productive, faster paced mediation. She is also very persistent; refusing to give up until the case is fully and completely resolved.
Last year, Marla helped resolve a difficult personal injury/assault case in which I represented the plaintiff. This matter involved several public entities and individual defendants. Emotions often ran high and the legal issues were quite complex . Marla was able to skillfully lead the parties towards a fair and reasonable settlement. I greatly appreciate Marla's help in settling this matter. I would definitely ask Marla to consider acting as a mediator on other cases when the need arises.
Marla recently served as a mediator for a dispute involving a defective septic system. The defendants included the sellers and real estate agent involved in the sale of residential property. The lawsuit alleged consumer fraud act liability along with a demand compensatory and punitive damages. Marla was able to resolve the entire dispute after 1/2 day of mediation. Her expertise in the subject matter and demeanor with the parties were necessary for a successful resolution of a contentious dispute. I would highly recommend Marla as a mediator.
I have had the pleasure of utilizing the mediation services of Ms. Marla J. Moss within the past six months. I found that her people skills, tenacity at keeping the process going, and the great respect that the defense bar has for her, all contributed to the satisfactory settlement in a complex employment law matter. I would not hesitate to recommend Ms. Moss as a mediator for any civil matter, especially employment law matters. – Fred Shahrooz-Scampato, Plaintiff Employment Law Attorney
Marla was instrumental in mediating and contributing to the amicable resolution of a contentious employment discrimination matter, that appeared very unlikely to settle. I will use her services again.
Having had the opportunity to work with many mediators, good and bad, over the years, I can honestly say that Marla is outstanding. She recently served as mediator in a sizable commercial matter wherein I represented one of the parties. With her thorough understanding of the facts and applicable law, as well as incredible patience, combined with timely forcefulness, she was instrumental, if not indispensable, in achieving a fair and amicable resolution for all parties, including my client. I have every intention of using Marla's mediation services in the future and wholeheartedly recommend her to my fellow members of the bar. Carmine LoFaro, Esq., Hackensack, NJ
