As a practicing attorney for over 27 years, in October 2016 Lynn M. Salvatore, Esquire, joined the firm of Carolyn S. Zisser, P.A., a boutique law firm handling complex marital and family law cases. Lynn graduated from the University of Florida College of Law in 1990 and has been practicing law in Northeast Florida for over 27 years. Throughout the years, she has been involved in local and international service and civic organizations, including the Northeast Florida Human Trafficking Task Force, the Fourth Judicial Circuit Pro Bono Committee, and Zonta International, as well as having been a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Court Mediator.
Lynn has years of experience handling traditional family law cases, such as divorce, child custody, child and spousal support, equitable distribution, modification, and adoptions and has been a court-appointed guardian ad litem in family law cases in Duval and Clay Counties. She has been an attorney for both the Florida Department of Children and Families and the Fourth Circuit Guardian Ad Litem Program, where she litigated child dependency cases, including child sexual abuse cases. While at the Guardian Ad Litem Program, she was a member of the Standards of Operation Committee for the Statewide Guardian Ad Litem Program. In private practice, she has been a court-appointed attorney for parents alleged to have abused, abandoned or neglected their children, handling all phases of the child dependency process including appeals.
Most notably, Lynn successfully litigated a complex expedited termination of parental rights case in Duval County, Florida, wherein the Department of Children and Families alleged the parents had physically abused their infant. The parents’ defense required the videotaped testimony of three (3) medical experts from Boston to California. I am a life-long resident of Florida and received my Juris Doctor from the University of Florida College of Law in 1990. Shortly after I began practicing law, I taught Business Law at a local community college as an adjunct professor. During my legal career, I represented the Department of Children and Families (formerly HRS) and the attorney for the State of Florida Guardian Ad Litem. As a public servant, I advocated for the protection of Florida's children.
