Luis A. Virguez

Attorney Luis A. Virgüez is the lead council and founder of Virgüez & Associates. He launched the law firm out of a desire to protect the rights of individuals and families in the Atlanta community. He immigrated to the United States with his parents when he was a 8 years old. His experiences as an immigrant inspired him to pursue a legal career with a focus on human rights and immigration.
One of his most notable experiences occurred in law school when he was involved with the Chicano Latino Law Student Association (CLLSA) and in the Arizona State Immigration Clinic. During his participation in the clinic, Virgüez worked closely with abandoned or orphan children and battered spouses. He facilitated the process of obtaining legal immigration status through Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS) and Violence Against Women Act (VAWA). He was able to connect with the youth and their families in meaningful ways.
After law school, Virgüez was inspired to make a difference. He initiated his legal career at a non-profit organization handling immigration  cases such as VAWA and family petitions. In 2009, he co-founded a sucessfull law firm in Atlanta. The firm grew to become a high-volume practice. In 2016 he decided to establish new headquarters in Norcross and launched Virgüez & Associates.
While the Virgüez & Associates team manages cases for a diverse population, the firm is  well known for protecting the rights of Hispanics in the Atlanta community. Attorney Virgüez and his staff are fully bilingual and sensitive to the nuances of defending the rights of the diverse community we practice in. The firm supports community events on a regular basis and often contribute to community initiatives to raise awareness about legal matters. Attorney Virgüez is also pleased to volunteer his time on a regular basis to support efforts to raise awareness on news storys that affect the community. Virgüez has been highlighted as an expert comentator by local media outlets in Atlanta such as Telemundo Atlanta and Mundo Hispanico.
