I was very fortunate that Linda Cox of the Cox Law Group was recommendated to me. I didn't know what to expect. Ms. Cox is a people person. She was very relaxed, knowledgeable and right away she put me at ease. We went over the worksheet I filled out in detail. She was very thorough and answered all my questions. Ms. Cox puts her clients needs and concens on the forefront, she's very understanding. She offers suggestions and guides you through the process - you don't leave her office wanting. She is a true professional. Ms. Cox and her staff are wondeful people to work with. I highly recommend the COX LAW GROUP. You will not be disappointed.
Linda is a remarkably bright, kind, good-natured and intuitive person, and she really knows her business. If you are looking for an attorney, with her, you also get a friend.
I hired Linda on a recommendation from a well respected financial adviser. The dreaded but requisite task of estate planning was made simple with the advice and guidance from Ms.Cox. Not only did she make very wise and intelligent advice regarding our estate planning, but her expert knowledge has guided us to a safe and lucrative portfolio. Linda's tutelage has protected us from many tax implications of which I was unaware. I am forever grateful for the knowledge she has imparted and it is with great enthusiasm that I recommend Linda for any estate planning!
I have worked with Linda Cox off and on for over twenty years on various personal legal projects. These projects cover a wide variety of issues including contract law, estates and trusts and domestic law, among others. She "exceeds expectations" in all categories consistently. Honest, trustworthy, reliable and creative. Recommend without reservation.
Some of my best memories of High School involve Linda. I feel that a strong connection was formed between us and was so pleased to be reacquainted with her several years ago. I've always admired her for her poise. She was always self-assured--genuinely and unapologetically interested (with even a degree of fascination) in learning. I will always remember her as being studious and intelligent, without a trace of arrogance. I am sure she makes a great attorney. Sometimes I think about going back to studying French to a fluency where Linda and I could converse. She has a refreshing, positive outlook and love of life.
Linda and I started at Jordan Coyne at about the same time. We were both fortunate to have great mentors who taught us not only the lessons of the law, but of the business itself and of the secrets to a successful practice. Linda absorbed those lessons well and it shows everyday in her passion for the case, her commitment to legal excellence, and her untiring effort on behalf of her clients. You would be fortunate to have Linda as your counsel.
Linda is an intelligent and extremely focused professional who always puts the best interest of her clients first.
Linda is frequently referred to my clients for estate planning and real estate advice. She is sharp, sensitive and caring. A dynamic combination.
I worked with Linda many years ago when I was a law student and paralegal in a law firm and she was the attorney that I worked directly for in the office. Linda is a trustworthy, hard working, loyal and smart attorney who always gives her clients the best service. In the years since my time at the law firm, our lives have taken different directions, but Linda and I have remained colleagues and friends. I would highly recommend Linda Cox.
Linda is a kind, considerate, articulate and caring attorney who has taken care of the estate planning needs of many of my clients. She is one great attorney!!
I'm a Maryland native, having been a member of the Baltimore Washington community my entire life, except for 3 years in law school at the Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law, Carlisle, Pa. campus. My life has always revolved around family, friends, church and academics of one form or another.
I am the eldest of four children. My Mother, my 2 younger sisters and their families live in Baltimore County, Maryland. My Mom, the youngest of 7 children, grew up on a tobacco farm in Prince Georges County. My Dad, now deceased many years, was a corporate executive. He was born in Queens, New York. My younger brother Danny died unexpectedly at age 27.
My husband Web passed unexpectedly in January 2016. That experience has made me very sensitive to my clients estate planning needs. I make sure my clients understand the estate planning and probate process and that their documents accurately reflect their planning wishes. Losing a loved one is hard enough. It gives me great satisfaction to know I help make sickness and loss of loved ones a little easier to bear by providing my clients complete and accurate documents tailored to their individual needs.
I am Mom to two "twenty something" children. My son Christopher is "finding himself" in Denver, Colorado. Christopher is a Skyline High School, Front Royal, Va. graduate where he was Co-Captain of his varsity soccer team. Christopher is working on playing soccer at the college or professional level.
My daughter, Savannah, lives with me in Annapolis, Md. Savannah will return to college in January with plans to become a special education teacher.
I love meeting new clients, interacting with current clients and facilitating successful resolution of various estate planning, education/special education and related family dynamics issues.
I have many interests and hobbies, including running (which has become "jogging"), biking, swimming and horseback riding. I play a little guitar and I "appreciate" many different music genres. I enjoy travelling. I love to read, write and learn about estate planning, business succession planning, education/special education and motivational issues. I am constantly seeking and implementing ways to improve my legal skills and legal service to my clients and to the community at large.
I have a particular passion for special needs and disability issues, including Special Needs Trusts with strong commitment to protect families and children with special education and special needs issues. My own personal and professional experience includes substantial special education and special needs issues. I am a very proud Mom to my 2 children adopted from St. Petersburg, Russia.
The business philosophy of Cox Law Group can be summarized in a recent quote from Jon Gordon, Author of "The Energy Bus": "The greatest marketing strategy of all is to do something great for another person." That is this law firm’s goal for each and every Cox Law Group client.
