Lester is one of the most kind and knowledgeable people I know. Not only does he know the intricate laws surrounding every detail of Background Checks, but he also strives to contribute to these laws and to contribute to the NAPBS to make the hiring process better for everyone. On top of all of that, Lester always maintains a welcoming attitude toward those around him. He knows how valuable every employee is, each is a human being with rights and valuable assets. His belief shows in his every day manner and in his inexorable commitment to safe and fair hiring.
What impressed me the most when I worked with Les Rosen is that he is already an industry and knowledge expert who offers superior services to his clientele, but he is always seeking a way to improve his customer relationships and service. I believe Les raises the overall standard of excellence with whomever he comes in contact. I had the privilege of partnering with Les to reinvigorate his sales and marketing tools and can unquestionably endorse the integrity and excellence of his business operation.
Les has been a mentor to me and to many others in our industry. He has educated us at multiple conferences with subtle humor. There are few in this industry who do not know about Tony the Timebomb or the impact of his actions, as shown to us in the Mock Trial. This trial was an innovative, and highly memorable method of teaching the basics of compliance and thorough salesmanship. His book (The Safe Hiring Manual) is one of the key resource books I have used for years about hiring and background screening. He freely shares his knowledge and has offered sections of his book for use in the various groups we have both served in, such as the ASIS Background Screening Guidelines. Les keeps an eye out for all of the people touched by what we do as a CRA. He cares deeply about the applicants who are touched by companies in our industry and his education, is in part, a means to make sure we all do it right and protect the individuals who are touched by our services. I have thoroughly enjoyed working on many projects with Les. I always learn something. And with Les, you can be assured that in any debate it will be a lively one. Les is a man of honor and integrity who puts the industry above all else. He is definitely seen as one of our master leaders.
I have had the pleasure of knowing Les Rosen for almost 10 years. Les was my first true friend in our industry. We worked very closely together in the formation of NAPBS. Most of what I have learned about best practices and compliance has come from Les directly. He is not only a friend and confidant but has also been a mentor to me and many of us in NAPBS. When Les was our first Co-Chairman of NAPBS I was the co-Chair elect. I had big shoes to fill and was glad to have his tutelage along the way! To this day we remain close friends and I can't recommend him highly enough!!
Since 2005, Les has been a familiar and welcome face to Kennedy, speaking not only at our bi-annual Recruiting Conferences but Webinars also. An attorney, Les is truly an expert in the field of background screening. A solid reputation, Les is dependable, enthusiastic, and always a pleasure to work with. As a Speaker at our Recruiting Conferences, Les consistently presents his subject matter in a comprehensive and engaging manner, always ranking in the top percentile in terms of speaking and content. I highly recommend Les and look forward to working with him again in the future.
Having worked with Les, in the screening industry since 2001, I consider him an industry leader and a person of unquestionable integrity. Les always demonstrates the highest level of morals, values and ethics. Les brings enthusiasm and energy to every situation. I recommend him highly.
I have known Les Rosen and his reputation for many years. When the National Association of Professional Background Screeners (NAPBS) was in the formation stages I was very happy to see that he was one of the people behind the new association. Les donated untold hours to help setup NAPBS and then became the first Co-Chair of the association. Les led out in taking NAPBS from a new and unknown association to the prominent voice in our industry. Les is considered "The Father" of the screening industry and rightfully so. He is dedicated to the industry and to the members of NAPBS. His insight is recognized industry wide. I am prod to work with Les in many capacities and to be able to call him my friend.
Les and I co-presented a webinar on background checking issues. He is very knowledgeable about the legal and practical issues and has built a solid business that provides background checking service meeting the highest standards.
Les has been a great friend and client or some 13 years now. He is a prolific and creative professional and well known throughout the screening industry as an expert and an opinion leader. True to his reputation, my company, and by extension my entire clientele, have benefited pervasively from our relationship. As a research provider for his firm, ESR, our own quality and professionalism have elevated significantly by virtue of our universal adoption of any standards Les and his firm have ever required of us. Furthermore Les has always been willing to answer my more technical industry-related questions and otherwise freely impart his authoritative and practical wisdom to any of the more difficult professional issues I've ever encountered. In that regard he has been a valuable go-to resource for me--both in my capacity as an individual research provider, and (in no small thanks to Les) a committee co-chair and fellow founding member of the National Association of Professional Background Screeners. And to be clear, Les is not merely a founding member of the NAPBS: he's a Founding Father. The industry is forever beholden to him for his countless volunteer hours and tireless instrumental contribution in helping form and direct our industry's first professional trade association. It goes without saying I highly recommend him and his firm, Employment Screening Resources, and in fact do just that any time I receive a call from anyone in search of a quality background screening firm.
I have always regarded Les as one of the "founding pillars" of the background screening industry, and I have relied upon his wisdom and advice on numerous occasions over the 10+ years I have known him. It is at those junctures where what constitutes best practice is being weighed against what constitutes the very best practice that I turn to Les for his help, and more than once I have forged ahead and proceeded down an uncharted course with the confidence of knowing that Les and I were on the same page. Les's tireless dedication to NAPBS and the thousands of hours of his own time he has given without hesitation have strengthened our industry and ensured its viability. I have the highest regard for Les Rosen, and I can unquestionably endorse both his ethics and his expertise.
Les is truely an expert in his field and a really nice guy too! I've known him for many years and can attest to his superior service, quality of the work and the timelines, all both essential elements of a service partner. He has been a wonderful resource to me on behalf of my clients when they faced sticky situations that surfaced during the hiring process, even though the client was using another service provider.
Les Rosen is an expert in the law related to background screening and the rules regarding the FCRA, ICRAA, and HIPPA in this area. His company has consistently provided good service to my clients and his judgment has proven sound time and time again. He is at the top of his field and this specialty.
Les is one of those people who really know what they speak about and are willing to spend their time educating others in the industry so as to raise the overall standards of excellence. If you need him, you can always count on him.
Les Rosen is considered a leader in the background screening industry. He is highly sought after for speaking engagements about the industry, as his level of knowledge is unsurpassed. Les was the driving force behind the formation of NAPBS, the National Association of Professional Background Screeners. I would give Les my highest recommendation.
Les Rosen is one of the foremost experts in employment background checks I know. When I have a question about employment related issues, Les is my first call. Not only is Les a friendly and helpful colleague, he goes the extra mile to give you more than he takes. Highly recommended!
