Leslie A. Cohen is an attorney and owner of Leslie Cohen Law, PC in Santa Monica, CA. In addition to Ms. Cohen’s bankruptcy, state and federal court litigation expertise, she also advises companies on structuring and funding of special purpose entities, distress acquisitions, and workouts.
Ms. Cohen also has served as a mediator in over 25 bankruptcy cases in California, and is a member of the Bankruptcy Mediation Panel for the Central District of California.
Ms. Cohen received her undergraduate degree from the University of California, San Diego and went on to obtain her Juris Doctor from the UCLA School of Law, where she was an Associate Editor of the UCLA Law Review. She holds an AV peer rating, Martindale-Hubbell’s highest peer recognition for ethical standards and legal ability.
Ms. Cohen is an editor of the California Bankruptcy Journal since 2007, where she has numerous articles over the last several years. Ms. Cohen is also a frequent lecturer and presenter for the American Bar Association, the American Bankruptcy Institute, the California Bankruptcy Forum, the UCLA Anderson Business School, and the UCLA undergraduate program.
