I set an appointment with Mr. Hays & he worked around my schedule. I live in another state, but he made it convenient for me to meet with him and discuss my case. He was honest and upfront about everything. I hired him and he went above and beyond what he was hired for. He was at a trial and took the time to contact people and even wrote a letter on my behalf. He was not required to do anything like that, but he took time out of his schedule to make sure my case was taken care of. Also, this was handled so quickly it was amazing. I know of other people in other states that have been waiting almost 2 years to get anything done, Mr. Hays had mine done in a weekend. Thanks to him I’m able to get my dream job.
I originally consulted with Kevin Hays over the phone. He agreed to be my attorney and I agreed to hire him (this is while I was in jail). He came to jail and showed up in the capacity as my attorney and met with me before I got out on bond. Kevin Hays seemed very nice, professional and direct which is why I agreed to hire him to represent me in a criminal defense case. Immediately after he appeared to see me in jail, he drove to the alleged victim's house (alleged victim in my case) and told the victim what I said in that private and privileged meeting. Later the victim stated that Kevin Hays intended to turn that victim further against me and Kevin was looking for more ways to keep me in jail. This is not what I expected out of my attorney. As a result of this, I immediately had to fire him and hire another attorney.

I've been a practicing attorney since the early 1990s and have represented hundreds of clients in municipal, state and federal courts in Texas and other states. I handle DWI/DUI cases, drug misdemeanors, and virtually any type of felony case, including drug cases (manufacturing and trafficking), sex crimes and robbery/theft crimes. I represent clients in all courts, including municipal, state and federal courts in the DFW area.
I've also been associated with the title insurance business for over two decades as an owner, General Counsel, and Residential/Commercial Escrow Officer. A portion of my practice is dedicated to helping people recover damages in the form of filing claims against title companies for faulty or negligent work, real estate agents for negligence or misrepresentation, or other parties to a real estate contract when there has been a breach of the contract giving rise to a cause for damages.
I am a Dallas native, a former college football player and former SEC official. I have also officiated high school basketball for over 25 years and am a member of the North Texas Basketball Officials Association.
