I represent individuals and businesses in civil and criminal litigation at the state and federal levels. I employ a passion for advocacy, a keen intellect, broad industry experience, and a technical background to obtain consistently positive results for my clients. I focus on complex cases in the practice areas of criminal defense and business litigation. In my criminal defense practice, I focus on clients who have not committed the offenses charged, whose constitutional rights have been violated, or whose cases are particularly complex or paper-intensive, such as “white collar” cases. In my business litigation practice, I focus on disputes such as shareholder disputes, contract disputes with vendors or customers, and employee theft.My unique path to practicing law has provided a wealth of experiences that enrich my practice and afford me an extraordinary perspective on my cases and clients. With an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, I joined the Silicon Valley workforce nearly four decades ago. After enjoying a successful career in the computer industry as a Software Development Engineer, Software Project Manager, and Sales Representative in a variety of high-tech companies, including Hewlett Packard, I turned my attention to raising my children. During that time, I authored a number of non-fiction articles and essays, and a book, A Housekeeper Is Cheaper Than a Divorce: Why You CAN Afford to Hire Help and How to Get It. I then entered law school as a “mature” student, graduated summa cum laude. I am admitted to practice before all federal and state courts in California, as well as the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
