I owe a lot to Karen and Lordus were great in the representation for my cases. I never even seen the court room well she represented me for my criminal case, she was steady on the prosecutor to proceed with the case. Outcome all charges dropped. I recommend her law firm they do not take more cases than they can handle. She gives all her clients the time and investigating of your case to give you your best outcome. Also Lordus keeps you informed when you call and is so kind and polite a very good asset for Karen's law firm. When I first met Karen after having to other consultations I knew she was the attorney i needed to represent me.
Karen Rodriguez, from the moment we have met has been nothing the best. She's been doing everything in her power to help me get my daughter back home. As a father living in Florida, I do not get the same rights mothers do with the child/children. The road for me is an uphill battle and Karen Rodriguez has shown nothing but professionalism. She is very knowledgeable on the rights of a father in this on-going case to bring back one of the most precious gems in my life. I couldn't ask for a better attorney, one who actually cares about your situation, doesn't stop at anything to do what's right for you, and is very knowledgeable on what should be done for whatever your situation may be. She gives me great confidence knowing she won't back down and isn't afraid. Lourdes De Leon has been a great secretary for Karen Rodriguez. Always keeping in contact with me, always showing interest and concern about my case, and constantly keeping me updated. I am blessed to have found a team to represent me and help me at a time like this.
Karen it is very diligent, trustworthy, and get things done.
Karen was a diligent student who brought insights and energy to the classroom
Karen successfully managed Central Florida's Largest Delivery Operation. The Kissimmee Carrier Annex, which employed over 100 employees. She achieved the challenging goals with very little experience. This was remarkable as during this same period she was attending law school and raising a family. She sets her goals and studiously strives to achieve them. Strong initiative traits and willingness to be the Best.
As a former prosecutor, I understand the complexities of working a case inside and outside a courtroom. Having experience working in cases involving investigators, law enforcement, civilian witnesses, evidence departments, parenting coordinators, guardian ad litem coordinators and attorneys, Department of Children and Families’ case managers and attorneys, as well as counsel for other parties, I have been able to understand and have the ability to work towards the resolution of any situation, in my covered areas of law. As a current Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediator, as well as, an attorney for children (Attorney ad Litem), I am able to understand the seriousness of the handling of a family law case, whether it is an adoption, guardianship, paternity matter, dissolution of marriage, timesharing and/or parenting plan establishment, child support establishment and/or modification, as well as a dependency and/or domestic relations case. Furthermore, my passion for criminal law allows me to be an advocate for those individuals charged with a crime to ensure that their due process and constitutional rights are protected. I am also fully Bilingual in English and Spanish.
I was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, but made Florida my permanent home since 1997. After finishing undergraduate studies with concentrations in Business Management, I completed a Master’s Degree in Organizational Management, where I graduated with High Honors and in the top 5% of my class.
I also attended law school at the Florida A&M University (FAMU), College of Law, located in Orlando. While in law school, I was invited to become a member of FAMU’s Law Review. I graduated cum laude from FAMU’s College of Law and ranked in the top 12% of the total class.
After graduation, I worked, as a prosecutor, at the State Attorney’s Office for the Fifth Judicial Circuit in both Marion and Lake County. I also worked as a prosecutor at the State Attorney’s Office for the Ninth Judicial Circuit. There, I handled hundreds of cases and litigated many jury trials, with a high conviction rate.
In addition, I litigated numerous Motions to Suppress in DUI and Drug cases, and handled many court proceedings to include Arraignments, Initial Appearances, Pre-trial Conferences, Plea Hearings, Violation of Probation Hearings, Bond Hearings, and other proceedings, as applicable. In addition to handling part of a docket for my division, I was also in charge of handling Appeals for my cases, and answered appellate briefs on trial cases, as well as cases where defendants were asking for post-conviction relief.
In addition to being the President of The Law Office of Karen Rodriguez, P.A., I am also a Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediator.
I strongly believe that every person deserves to have representation and consider myself to be an advocate for those in need of help. I have volunteered for the Legal Aid Society, where I have participated in assisting individuals in need of legal services. I am a strong believer in that evaluating all of the events leading to an arrest is imminent in a criminal case, and I will look at every detail of your case to aggressively work towards a resolution. I am a litigator and will fight for your rights in court, regardless of the effort and time required.
