✅ Accurate profile (2 sources)
Practice area: Business, Contracts and agreements, Corporate and incorporation
Had a range of things from termination/severance agreements to contracts (improving both the copy and format of each), as well as NDAs and other fairly standard Legal documents every business relies on. Jon is first rate. He's been a successful entrepreneur 3 times over. He's scaled tech companies. He's practiced law and even spent a few years in investment banking. He's done Trust and Estates work for my family and is a true scholar of the law who can help in any of situations described above. I also know he's facilitated major M&A (including for BJ's Wholesale and SkillSoft!) and succeeded on both the buy and sell side of fundraises and transactions. I will never use another corporate lawyer for these matters ever again.
John runs a consultancy services and has been particularly helpful, in fact his insight as a sales leader who manages contractual negotiations daily, helped us to streamline our legal agreements, processes, and really execute contracts much faster than in the past. He also has a keen eye for finding ways to make deals work. Most lawyers find ways to say no. John finds out what you are attempting to accomplish and figures out a way to do so based on your business goals. He is first rate and knows how to quickly identify all of the common pitfalls in modern contracts. From NDAs to clients and partnership agreements and even employment contracts ( including some ugly termination agreements ). Highly, highly recommended.
Let's cut to the chase: Jon is one of the best sales professionals I've had the privilege to work with, and once you work with him, I'm confident you'll feel the same way. Here's why: Jon is aggressive, as anyone in sales should be, but his proactiveness doesn't [just] come from a burning desire to close the deal. He's resourceful (some people, possibly including Jon himself, might even say "cunning") and strategic. Cerebral, even. But he's also honest. Yes, Jon is an honest guy. You may not typically associate salesmen with integrity, but Jon displays the kind of forthrightness and personal accountability you'd expect from a trusted partner and a leader in any line of work. I've seen numerous occasions where Jon could easily have thrown others under the bus, but he doesn't play the blame game. He always focuses on the task at hand, and on the larger goal for his team, and acts as a supportive resource for his teammates at all times. You may have seen/read/heard salespeople waxing philosophical about how the most important thing in sales is actually delivering value. Jon has this covered. He's a fast learner who quickly and freely shares his insights, contacts from his network and any resources available to aid both this prospects and his team members. You may have seen/read/heard salespeople waxing philosophical about how the most important thing in sales is, in fact, building relationships. Jon has this covered, too. As you will quickly learn when speaking to him, the man is a raconteur. However, he has more than a repository of funny stories. He's an excellent communicator who is highly personable and empathetic. He not only knows how to network, but he also knows how to make the most of networking opportunities
Jon is an excellent team member and leader. His business development skills exceed all expectations. Once Jon has a goal in mind, his execution is flawless and his strategy development skills are also one of his strong points. I would highly recommend Jon for any business development role in any industry.
Jon brought a level of tenacity and professionalism to his business development approach that was contagious. He excelled at structuring and automating the sales process while establishing lasting relationships with his customers. Also, I cannot speak more highly on his desire to make the people around him better. I would not hesitate to work for Jon again.
Today, Jon helps bring Silicon Valley's most sophisticated data science and Artificial Intelligence solutions to enterprises operating at scale.
Jon grew up in and eventually ran three small family businesses, each of which went from ideas on paper to multi-million dollar companies. Jon’s curiosity eventually drove him to pursue a career as a lawyer and investment banker. Jon spent time as in-house counsel at a Fortune 250 retailer, where he learned the “real world” ins-and-outs of Contract Law and negotiation. Following that, Jon spent several years in banking where he worked closely with his firm’s top Venture Services team. Believing that Machine Learning would be the next big trend in technology, Jon moved to Silicon Valley and launched a career focused on scaling high-growth technology companies that offer Machine Learning solutions to Marketers at major Enterprises. That led him to QuanticMind, TapInfluence, and a number of consulting clients--and he’s been having a blast ever since!
