John Knutton was born in Canada, and graduated with Honors from the University of Toronto, where he played college football. John moved to Orlando in his early 20s and received his Juris Doctor from Barry University. While attending Barry University, he earned the Book Award for highest grade in Immigration Law and was on Law Review. During law school, John clerked for an immigration law firm and a personal injury firm, where he gained experience helping those in need. John is actively involved in the community, fundraising for ALS, and volunteering with legal aid. John began his legal career as a prosecutor in Orlando, where he tried felony and misdemeanor cases in both Orange and Osceola counties. John went on to practice insurance defense at an established Orlando firm specializing in defending police agencies from lawsuits involving excessive force, false arrest, and violations of constitutional rights. John has a broad range of experience in both criminal and civil law and he is able to use this experience helping his clients obtain the results they need.
John is a member of the Orange County Bar Association, the Seminole County Bar Association, the Greater Orlando Asian American Bar Association, and serves on the Florida Bar Diversity and Inclusion Committee. He also volunteers with the First Tee of Central Florida and is a shareholder of the Green Bay Packers. John lives in Central Florida with his wife and daughter.
