Jon and his staff have the utmost professionalism and handled my case with care. They are very organized and efficient. I would highly recommend him.
John is not only one of the best attorneys that I have had the pleasure to work with, but he is truly dedicated to his profession and his clients. John's extraordinary academic skills and diligent case management skills are exceptional.
I worked with John was on the team that helped represent me on a real estate case. I really enjoyed working with John as he walked me through the process and made me feel confident in my decisions. The case proceeded favorably. I recommend John.
John is an awesome attorney. He is fearless and makes a great advocate for his clients. He truly does care about people and I find that extremely refreshing in the Las Vegas culture. He also is a team player, which is rare in his field. John is also a great family man, loves animals and has a wonderful singing voice.
John and I have worked together for several years. We have tried cases together and he has proven himself to be a forceful advocate for his clients. I recommend John as an attorney because he is smart and provides quality representation to his clients.
John was a student in my law school Negotiations class, and he represented Boyd Law at the Regional Negotiation competition held at Pepperdine Law School. John is a gifted negotiator and this will serve him (and his clients) extremely well in business and in the practice of law.
I know John from undergraduate, where we both studied economics at the University of Nevada- Las Vegas. Suffice to say, John establishes a vibrant first-impression, where he instantly captures one with his gregarious personality as well as his sharp intellect and rhetoric abilities. He was widely respected by other students and teachers as being one of the top performers among his peers.
In the five years that I have known John Courtney, he has founded the two most successful student organizations on the UNLV campus, served as president of both, obtained his bachelors degree Summa Cum Laude in Economics, and graduated one semester early from The Boyd School of Law. He is also a combat veteran of the 82nd Airborne with management experience and an innate ability to connect with people. I have never known John to approach anything half-heartedly, nor have I known any or his projects to fail. His leadership and experience are strong enough to need no endorsement from me, but I would not hesitate to steadfastly recommend John Courtney to anyone for any position.
I not only had the privilege of studying with John at UNLV-Boyd School of Law, I was also John's partner in the ABA-sponsored Client Counseling Competition in 2005, 2006 and 2007, and the ABA Regional Negotiations Competition in 2007. John and I spent many hours preparing for these competitions, during which I came to respect John's capabilities. More importantly, I saw that John believes any task he undertakes deserves no less than his full commitment. When John took the initiative to organize a Phi Alpha Delta chapter and serve as the first Chief Justice, I worked closely with him as the chapter's first Marshal. Under John's leadership, PAD quickly became the largest student organization on the UNLV campus. John strives to exceed all expectations; however, like a true leader, John is most content when, in achieving his goals , he has helped others to achieve theirs
John was a highly analytical and thorough student. He was articulate and intelligent and had a knack for bringing his understanding of economics and his real world experience to the law. Additionally, John combined his initiative, leadership, and people skills to grow the reputation and camaraderie at the school. John was the founding member and president of Phi Alpha Delta--one of the nation's premier law organizations. If you are looking for initiative, know-how, and results don't look past John.
John is always outgoing and personable, which complements his ability to efficiently organize and lead. At the Boyd School of Law he quickly established what became and is the largest professional student law organization.
John was a true profressional and it was apparent that his contributions to the management team where significant and resulted in material financial operating improvement during his tenure at Burch. Christopher W. MacFarland
