John Baker was born and raised in Norfolk, Virginia.  John attended Hampden-Sydney College, where he was a Venable Scholar. John graduated cum laude in 2006 with a major in History and minors in German and Public Service.  After college, John attended the University of Mississippi School of Law.  He graduated cum laude in 2010.  After passing the bar exam in 2010, John worked for a local insurance defense firm for seven years before joining Cooper Hurley Injury Lawyers.  John was selected as a Rising Star by Virginia Super Lawyers in 2015, 2016, and 2017.  John is also a member of the James Kent American Inn of Court.
John Baker joined Cooper Hurley Injury Lawyers in 2018. Most of his work involves helping people who suffered injuries in car, truck, and motorcycle accidents. John Baker still lives in Norfolk. He was attracted to Cooper Hurley Injury Lawyers by the firm's deep roots in the Hampton Roads community and its determination to treat clients like family.
