Jimmy M. Santos, Esq., is the sole member of the Law Offices of Jimmy M. Santos, PLLC.  A 1990 graduate of Williams College and 1995 graduate of Boston University School of Law, Mr. Santos has been practicing law for over twenty-one years. He has successfully represented numerous clients in civil rights, labor and employment, and complex state and federal litigation cases in the state and federal courts situated in New York State.  Mr. Santos has also had much success in representing clients before administrative agencies including the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the New York State Division of Human Rights, the New York City Commission of Human Rights, and U.S. and N.Y.S. Departments of Labor.
Mr. Santos provides aggressive, creative and innovative solutions in civil rights and labor and employment disputes. The firm aggressively prosecute cases on behalf of private and public employees who have been subjected to all prohibitted types of employment discrimination, harassment and retaliation on the basis of race; color; sex/gender; marital status; age; real, record of having, or perceived disability; national origin; marital status; pregnancy status; religion; sexual orientation; for complaining about/opposing unlawful discrimination; and for taking medical leave under The Civil Rights Act of 1964 (“Title VII”), 42 USC sec. 1981; the Americans With Disabilities Act of 1990, as amended (the “ADA”), the Age Discrimination In Employment Act of 1967 (“ADEA”), the U.S. Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993 (“FMLA”), The N.Y.S. Human Rights Law, and the N.Y.C. Human Rights Law, among other statutes.
Mr. Santos also prosecutes cases on behalf of employee-whistleblowers under the NY Whistleblower Law (NY Labor Laws secs. 740 & 741), the False Claims Act (the "FCA"), the NYS False Claims Act (the "NYSFCA"), and the NYC False Claims Act (the "NYCFCA").
Lastly, Mr. Santos has represented and advised small to medium-sized companies in labor and employment and civil rights matters.
