About

Jess Moore has worked in and served the legal community most of his career. He maintains a Dallas-based law practice focusing on real estate and business formation for entrepreneurs, family businesses, and small to mid-sized companies. He also serves as in-house counsel for a complex, multi-entity single family office and trusts located in Houston and Dallas. For 15 years prior, Jess served as CEO of Ad Hoc The Legal Placement Company, a legal recruiting and staffing firm that serviced more than 1,000 law firms and corporate clients globally. In the early 1990's, Jess was Regional Vice President of Operations for JAMS Mediation, Arbitration and ADR Services where he helped expand the privately-held company beyond California to Texas, Georgia, and the East Coast. Before attending law school, Jess served as Director of Jury Services for Dallas County, the only county among 254 in Texas in which the oversight of the jury system was not then vested in the elected office of District Clerk. Appointed and managed by a board of district judges, Jess converted the fifth largest jury system in the U.S. to the one-day/one-trial and standby juror formats used today.
In addition to a J.D. from South Texas College of Law, Jess also holds a Master of Public Administration from Southern Methodist University and a Bachelor of Arts from Centenary College of Louisiana.
