I am very grateful for the level of care that Jennifer and her team demonstrated with me and my son during what was one of the most difficult times of my life. She is very thorough and professional in all she does. If you have met Jennifer, then you will understand that she is devoted to her craft and her clients. She is an amazing role model for any modern woman. I recommend her to you without reservation. In fact of have recently recommended her to a dear friend who also needed good counsel.

We had never had any real experience or interaction with an attorney, so I must confess to having been a bit apprehensive prior to our initial interview with Mr. Burton. He immediately put us completely at ease, and was really easy to talk to, as if we'd known him for years. Everyone that we've dealt with in this firm has been wonderful to interact with. It has been a very pleasant experience overall, and I would not hesitate to recommend Burton McKinnish to anyone who is looking for a law firm to handle their legal needs.

Jennifer McKinnish Burton focuses her practice on family law—particularly in the areas of complex divorce litigation, juvenile matters, and adoptions. She loves kids, and has devoted herself to family law to help families resolve complicated problems by protecting their children’s best interest.
Jennifer is a tough yet caring attorney who provides skillful and aggressive legal representation. Her success as a litigator began in law school when she received an award for the Best Oral Advocate in 2003. Her practice is built on those same skills that have been honed and refined throughout numerous trials in Tennessee courtrooms.
She began her legal career clerking with The Bosch Law Firm, P.C. where she focused on complex criminal defense litigation—including death penalty defense. In 2005, she began private practice with Rice, Amundsen & Rogers, P.L.L.C. focusing on domestic relations issues.
She is a founding partner of Burton & McKinnish, PLLC. Jennifer has been formally recognized as a rising star in the area of family law by Super Lawyer in 2013 2014.
