Jay is an incredible advocate. He is skilled both in his ability to work with and supporting his clients and as a litigator. I have co-counseled several cases with Jay and am always looking for opportunities to do so again. I would highly recommend him.
Jay is a consummate professional that has a knack for understanding and litigating complex employment issues. Jay also has the rare ability to explain these complex issues to his clients in simple, laymen terms to allow him to provide superior, understandable representation. Jay is definitely one to watch in the Dallas legal community.
Jay was an outstanding Spanish teacher during his time at The Nora School. His students responded well to his instruction and he was well respected by his colleagues for his professionalism and good humor. We were quite sad when he decided to go to law school rather than continue his teaching career.
Jay is one of the most empathetic and dedicated attorneys that I have ever worked with. He goes above and beyond for his clients and never questions working weekends or pulling late hours to take care of his clients' legal matters. His spare time is mostly devoted to philanthropic events and volunteering. Jay is ambitious, kind, outgoing, a rising star, and definitely one to watch as his career continues to grow at Lee & Braziel LLP.
Jay helped win his first trial shortly after completing law school. Currently, Jay's practice focuses on the representation of employees in lawsuits brought under the Fair Labor Standards Act and other equivalent state wage and hour laws. Jay also serves as the Vice Chair of Mosaic Family Services, is one of Dallas' Representatives on the Board of Directors for the Texas Young Lawyers Association, and is the Chair Elect of the State Bar of Texas' Individual Rights & Responsibilities Section. Jay is native of Dallas, Texas and earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan, a master's from the George Washington University and his law degree from Southern Methodist University. Jay did not vote for Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election.
