When I first began working at MPBF, I was unfamiliar with the vast legal area of tax law. Fortunately, I had the pleasure of working with Jason on a number of cases involving complex tax issues. Not only was Jason a great mentor, he was extremely knowledgeable about tax law and willing to help me whenever I sought him out. He also did a great job serving as Co-Chair of the Barrister's Tax Section, performing above and beyond expectations.

I am certified as a specialist in taxation law by The State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. My practice focuses on tax controversy and planning. I represent clients before the Internal Revenue Service, California Franchise Tax Board, Board of Equalization, all California state courts, all federal district courts, the U.S. Tax Court and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. I also represent CPAs, accountants and their accounting firms, enrolled agents, and tax payers in tax matters, accounting malpractice defense, and trust and estate litigation and planning matters.
