I only have good things to say about lawyer S.Janaan Hashim. she assist with my son's criminal record Expungement,she communicated with both me and my son during the whole process. she keep us informed all the time and remain us a about the upcoming appointment for the court day . Janaan focuses her entire criminal defense practice in expungements and sealing of criminal records. Since being admitted to the IL bar in 2006, Janaan's legal practice has involved primarily criminal defense, first as an Assistant Appellate Defender for the State of Illinois and then in private practice. Over the years Janaan found particular joy in helping people "turn the corner" through expunging and sealing their criminal records. This joy and interest led Janaan to where she is today. "When the judge grants my clients' petitions to expunge or seal their records," says Janaan, "they are filled with such happiness and breathe a huge sigh of relief." Janaan adds, "For me, this is such a great way to use my law degree, accrued legal knowledge, and courtroom skills to help people leave behind their troubled past and look forward to a brighter tomorrow."
Janaan is also a trained mediator in both civil law and divorce. Janaan's passion for mediation sparked in law school and pushed her toward taking two intensive courses through the Illinois State Bar Association and Northwestern University. Equipped with helping people resolve their disputes outside the courtroom and public eye, as a mediator Janaan helps people move on with their lives in a short amount of time and with much less cost than litigation.
