George F. du Pont (Geordie) is a business-oriented lawyer and his practice focuses on resolving business disputes. Geordie has extensive experience arguing complex commercial litigation cases in state and federal trial courts and appellate courts in New York. He has represented a variety of clients in commercial litigation and arbitration including cases involving breach of contract, business torts such as unfair competition and fraud, infringement of intellectual property, professional negligence, commercial real estate litigation, securities litigation, trust and estate litigation and antitrust litigation.
Geordie is a member of the New York bar. He is also a member of the bars of the U.S. District Courts of the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the U.S. Court of Appeals, Second Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court. He graduated from Brown University in 1997 with an A.B., and received a JD from Northwestern University School of Law in 2001.
He was selected for inclusion as a “Super Lawyer” in New York Super Lawyers for 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018, and was selected as a Top 100 NY Metro Super Lawyer for 2018.
