I just finished working with Foster. A very good experience. The story: I'm in NYC. I was hired as a subcontractor for a company in San Francisco. My client's client (in Paris) curtailed a five month project one month in. My client was complimentary of the work I had done, but refused to live up to the project cancellation terms of our contract. He stopped returning calls, emails, and wouldn't see me when I was in San Francisco on other business. Enter Foster. He did his homework. We had thorough discussions on the matter. His correspondence to my client was articulate, serious, and effective. Ultimately, I was paid in full. In our first conversation Foster detailed what I should anticipate in terms of expenses. He kept me abreast of charges, via phone and emails, and there were no surprises. I made a point of giving him detailed information, in an orderly fashion so as to help minimize his time, but I still have to credit him for working efficiently. Early on he also discussed possible routes we could take, including litigation variations, likely outcomes, and corresponding costs. As things progressed Foster made recommendations, but in an informative way, There was no pressure for me to take specific actions. It was collegial. While I don't look forward to another difficult client, I would look forward to working with Foster again. He's a good guy, and he takes care of business. Thank you, Foster.

I am dedicated to helping clients get the legal representation they require. I served as the director of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program in Oklahoma, where I provided lower-income clients with personal and professional tax preparation at no cost. It's this work that spurred me to join the Modest Means Incubator Program with California Lawyer's for the Arts and open my own firm. I want to help artists and innovators–like you–obtain intellectual property protection for their ideas and works.
During law school I worked with a patent prosecution firm and a large university technology transfer office, where I gained experience in patent prosecution and licensing. I have extensive knowledge about patent law and prosecution, and received the highest marks in Patent Law. It's this knowledge that I will put to use to help you get a patent on your idea.
