Practice area: Employment and labor, Wrongful termination, Business
I was having employment issues and Erik helped me draft a letter to request my employment records. I appreciate his great advice.
I hired Erik to help with formulating a new corporate shell and contracts for my expanding established business and navigating challenges and negotiations with a current partner in the business. I experienced Erik to be a man with a truly caring heart, sharp intelligence, and honest ambition. He has all the training and experience needed to be fast and effective, the courage of a soldier to stand for justice, the rare gift to translate all the technical jargon very clearly, and the warmth to make the experience as enjoyable as possible (for such things as one needs to hire a lawyer for.) I cannot imagine anything Erik could have done better during our first contract, and continue to work with him to expand my business.
Erik's "can do" mentality has come in handy on many occasions. His willingness to contribute, take on additional responsibility and deliver successfully make him an excellent candidate for any challenge. Erik was thrown into the fire on many occasions and was able to make sense of the chaos and ensure a successful deliverable. It was a pleasure working late nights and impossible projects knowing Erik was there to help.
Erik is a graduate of UC Hastings, College of the Law, where he was a judicial extern at the California Supreme Court and at the First District Court of Appeal, and he was a law clerk for the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Victim Impact Program (sometimes referred to as the “Special Victims Unit.”) His experience also includes years of service with the 101st Airborne’s Judge Advocate General (JAG) Corps., from which Erik draws his rigor and precision while representing his clients. Erik has also worked extensively in the business start-up world of San Francisco and he brings that knowledge and enthusiasm to his practice, which includes business transaction, business litigation, labor and employment, and appellate work.
Erik holds CALI Excellence for the Future Award, and a Witkin Award for Academic Excellence, in Negotiation and Settlement. He also holds degrees in Social Psychology, Criminology, and Conflict Resolution from UC Irvine.
Erik's practice areas focus on corporate law, and labor and employment law.
