I highly recommend Elan Kaney for any of your legal needs. She prepared all of my Estate Planning documents in a professional and timely manner. I had a limited time to have these documents prepared and she demonstrated an extraordinary amount of progress and dedication to getting the task prepared on time! Elan has an innate intellectual ability and is very professional. She thought of many things that I had not prepared for and it was a pleasure to have her as my attorney. I had consulted with other attorney's who wanted to charged based on the value of my Estate Plan, we agreed on a set amount and I felt that it was fair for both of us. I also like the fact that she is involved in the community in which she lives and values the importance of giving back to her community! I have the upmost faith that Elan would use her experience to further her passion for any legal needs you may have!

Elan Kaney was an absolute joy to work with. She took the time to explain all the scenarios we were looking at and gave us sage advice as how she felt we should proceed. We were dealing with very personal issues and she handled them with professionalism. I was truly impresses with her research and always felt that she was well prepared for trial and had thought thru all the scenarios we were dealing with. I would not hesitate to involve her in any other legal issues that I had.

As this year's Chairwoman of the Board of Directors, Elan has stepped up to the plate and hit home run, after home run. She brings a vibrant energy, creative ideas and the motivation to others to get things done. She goes above and beyond and does whatever it takes to make sure that the United Way of Volusia-Flagler Counties is doing all that it can to advance the common good and give people the opportunities for a better life.

I am a tax attorney with 16 years of experience. I specialize in Estate Planning for taxable and non-taxable estates and Business Law, including entity selection, formation, and succession plans. I am easy going and compassionate. My goal is to help clients understand why proper planning can save their families and business partners heartache in the future. Estate planning is a gift you give to your loved ones. It's one last way of showing you care enough to protect them from the stress of dividing assets and dealing with probate (something you can avoid with proper planning).
I am the mother of a brilliant 12 year old son who, like me, has a very creative brain. In addition to spending time with my son, I enjoy graphic design, traveling and yoga.
