Doug is a very sharp, intelligent lawyer that has a great personality and is very easy to work with. Doug worked as outside senior counsel on a project with my Firm, and my team performed the discovery work, and together we supported Doug's effort by hosting a large volume of documents for him. Doug is a strategic task master and consummate professional who quickly gained the trust of my team, assessed our abilities, and developed a plan to complete the project together. Even in the face of several potential setbacks, he displayed sharp focus and strict work ethic, enabling the team to meet the deadline. It is not often that you come across an individual like Doug, displaying integrity that is non-negotiable. Douglas E. Lawson, Associate at Sacks Glazier Franklin & Lodise, is a 2009 graduate of Duke University and a 2012 graduate of the University of Southern California Gould School of Law. While in law school, Doug served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Joseph L. Tauro at the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts. Also during law school, Doug interned at the National Basketball Players Association, where he helped the players union negotiate a new collective bargaining agreement with the league owners, allowing the 2011-12 NBA season to get back on track after a months-long lockout. Doug has previous experience handling complex commercial litigation matters in both state and federal court, with a particular focus on white-collar criminal defense, products liability, and contract disputes.
