When my 13 year old son was accused of a serious sex crime we were scared and didn't know where to turn. I searched on the internet for an attorney that specialized in the falsely accused and found David Marshall. I filled out some information on his website and did not expect to get a response over the weekend. Within a couple of hours David called. David was very compassionate and explained things in detail and wanted to meet my son as soon as possible. Even though this entire process took a year and a half to its conclusion David never gave up. David would call and talk to explain things to my son and would call him in the evening or weekends. David's thoroughness and attention to detail was evident when we went to court. Even though it was a stressful time watching him in court was amazing. David was injured prior to our court date and he was the epitome of professionalism and did not want to delay court for my son and persevered anyway. I also can't forget how wonderful Alexei and Tracey are. They always made time for us and worked hard to fight for my son. Words can not express how much we admire, respect and appreciate David and his team. We hope never to need his services again but know where they are if we do. David gave my sons life back and now he has a future to look forward to.

About

I defend persons accused of assaults of an especially sensitive nature—sexual assault, child abuse, domestic violence, and elder abuse.
This has been the focus of my work since 1996. I've obtained many trial victories and many victories without trial for those accused of these assaults. I've also lectured and written extensively on legal issues relating to child abuse and sexual assault, and I've served on child abuse task forces appointed by government leaders.
While most of my work is in Washington state, I've also handled cases in other states and am glad to go where I am needed.
I've practiced law since 1981, first as a prosecutor, and since 1984 in private practice. I've been recognized several times as a "Super Lawyer" by Washington Law & Politics magazine.
