I had the privilege of working for David while at the Alliance. I had already known about his reputation in the sports industry as a great leader. It was an honor to work for him. David was a great communicator and always had creative ideas to resolve issues. Also, he truly cared for his team. This was apparent as David was always available and willing to collaborate with his team. David truly wanted everyone to succeed. As a leader, he inspired us to work harder and smarter to achieve our goals. David also helped me grow into a better attorney. Because of his vast business experience, he was able to provide me with the tools to become a stronger negotiator and risk manager. Any company would be fortunate to have David join their team as is he as great asset.
I had the privilege and honor of working for David at The Alliance of American Football. He is tireless, humble, honest, supportive, and empowering. These traits along with his executive-level experience in professional sports make him an extremely rare individual and a must have for any pro sports organization. You simply will not find a more capable, talented, and genuine leader.
David is a terrific leader and coach. I've had the pleasure of working with David as he chairs the ACCA Southern California 2011 Seventh Annual In House Counsel Conference. This is a complex conference that sets the tone for the year. He has been fantastic in inspiring the committee, participants and sponsors to deliver their best. I'm honored to play a role and be on a winning team. Thanks David and keep up the great work!
David is one of those rare individuals for whom you can quantify his value to a company very easily; he quickly and drastically affects the bottom line. David has created and implemented a system of Risk Management for the Angels which I frequently cite to other clients. I have taken numerous ideas of his and used them to help other clients reduce the amount of money they pay on litigation, and more importantly to reduce litigation. In addition, David is a tireless worker and generous individual with his time. His work with the TIPS section of the ABA is well documented and he has spoken frequently and often to numerous organizations.
David is one of the premiere legal minds in all of professional baseball. He understands not only the risk management side of things, but also understands the business and the game of baseball. His knowledge of both business and sport provides him with the ability to offer unparalleled advice to his internal client. His experience as a baseball trainer also gives him insight into the on-field aspects of the sport, something that the vast major of his legal peers lack.
