I hired Cynthia Herber through her firm for assistance with handling the division of property between myself and my former partner when I had a no-contact order of protection in place against my former partner. She was great at helping me to secure the order of protection in the first place, as well, gathering a ton of evidence and building and airtight case. We were awarded the no-contact order of protection for four years under Cynthia's diligence. Cynthia was the intermediary and handled all of my ex partner's communications for me. She assisted in negotiating a settlement in order to secure a quit claim deed in my favor for the joint property my ex partner and I owned.

Cynthia is a native Spanish speaking attorney specializing in criminal defense, and family law matters. Ms. Herber also works in the Milwaukee County Circuit Courts as a Guardian ad LItem in child custody and placement matters. With vast knowledge of immigration law, Ms. Herber is able to confidently advise non U.S. citizens and Legal Permanent Residents about the immigration considerations and consequences of a potential criminal conviction.
Cynthia was born and raised in Mexico city, where she received her J.D. from the Universidad Anahuac, A.C. in 1990. In 1993 she obtained an LL.M degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
In 2009 Ms. Herber appeared before the Wisconsin Supreme Court during a public hearing to amend Supreme Court Rules to allow lawyers from foreign countries to site for the Bar exam. The Court granted Ms. Herber permission to apply for the Bar exam and in 2011, Ms. Herber obtained her license to practice law in the State of Wisconsin.
Cynthia has been a Wisconsin Supreme Court Certified Spanish Interpreter since 2004, and a Federally Certified Court Interpreter through the United States Courts since 2009.
