Cody L. Boykin is a lifelong resident of North Carolina. Cody was born and raised on a farm, where he spent most of his younger years raising Swine and driving John Deere tractors (as detailed by the overwhelming presence of John Deere in his office).
After graduating from High School, he moved away to pursue a college degree. Cody earned his B.S. from East Carolina University where he majored in Criminal Justice with a minor in Alcohol/Drug Rehabilitation Studies. Immediately following college graduation, Mr. Boykin attended law school at North Carolina Central University School of Law, where he obtaining his Juris Doctorate in Law.
While in Law School, Mr. Boykin held several notable internship positions, which included positions with the US Department of Justice, the United States Attorney’s Office, the Pitt County District Attorney’s Office, and several other small private defense firms in Eastern NC. Upon graduation from Law School and being admitted to practice law in North Carolina, Mr. Boykin began his career with McCollum Law as an Associate Attorney.
Although McCollum Law is a general practice firm, Mr. Boykin enjoys dedicating his practice most to the areas of Criminal Defense, Real Estate, and Family Law. Through his legal experience, Mr. Boykin has seen both sides of the spectrum. Cody has been on both the prosecution side and the defense side. He is able to use his knowledge of the law and his professional relationships to navigate through some of the most difficult cases. Cody is willing to go above and beyond to research, argue, and defend your matter for the best possible outcome.
Cody understands how tricky and complex legal matters can be. He is willing to see the big picture and to place his clients best interest as his top priority. As an advocate of fair justice, he is willing to fight for what is right. Whether you are guilty or not, Cody takes each case seriously and will fight for your best outcome.
Mr. Boykin is a resident of Cary, North Carolina and enjoys the Carolina Hurricanes, spending time with his family at their beach house, nature and being outside, animals, and being an avid car enthusiast. Cody prides himself in being the only Attorney in his family. Cody enjoys volunteering in his off-time with the Teen Court Program, the Pro-Bono Legal Clinic at NCCU Law, and the Equal Justice Project.
Mr. Boykin is a member of the Wake County Bar, the Tenth Judicial District Bar, the North Carolina Bar Association, the NCBA Young Lawyers Division, the NCBA Family Law Section, and the NCBA Criminal Justice Section.
