I am grateful Cindy was my very first Technical Support manager at Hewlett-Packard. Cindy has outstanding leadership skills along with a natural ability to mentor employees. During the time I reported to Cindy, our organization was relatively new with some growing pains. Within the challenges, Cindy's sensitivity to the needs of her employees, co-workers and customers was quite impressive. One big lesson I learned from Cindy is to select mentors as a tool on my career path. It was an honor to participate in the Hewlett-Packard L.E.A.D program while working for Cindy. Her encouragement to become a great leader actually came true for me. Without hesitation, I strongly recommend Cindy.
Cindy is one of the best leaders I have had the fortune to work for in my IT career. She is extremely good at clearly defining roles and expectations and then doing everything "recommended by all the leadership books" to lead by example, mentoring her team to get things done. She is a very strategic thinker, able to communicate and influence senior leadership and one those managers everyone wants to work for. She knows how to build an effective team, deliver quality and still make the team enviornment a fun place to be. I would love to have the opportunity to work with her again. I can't say enough about the respect and admiration I have for this very talented woman.
Working with Cindy on the global deployment of the CRM platform at Agilent was an added benefit to my role. Cindy is a relationship manager above all who built a collaborative team with focus on delivering successful results to the organizations. She was objective with an eye on business results, but made sure all members of our team were supported so they could do their jobs. Cindy is a true professional and I would recommend her to any employer as a collaborative senior executive with a win-win approach to doing her job.
Cynthia was the client Manager at a large and complex application management engagement that involved thousands of users in 40+ countries. She has very strong leadership and management skills, good understanding of technology and gets things done. She is one of the best clients I worked with in my 10 years as a consultant.
Cindy has been a big part of my success at The Home Depot. I worked directly for Cindy and have never experienced such a driven, objective manager. Her coaching and motivated style of management has given me the opportunity to learn and grow both personally and professionally. Her vision and goals she creates for her teams have created great successes for her immediate team and the company as a whole. Truly one of the best managers I have worked for!
I have had the pleasure of working for Cynthia at both Hewlett Packard and Agilent Technologies. Working for Cynthia was an extreme pleasure for me because she was engaged, informative and empowering. She is excellent at setting direction for team and providing guidance; she allowed the team to do the work. Cynthia knew how to motivate the team and how to attack any tough isssue that faced the team. One thing that will always stick with me, is that our team never received the easy slam dunk projects. We always received the projects in trouble and we always delivered on time and successfully. This was due to the team Cynthia established and her skills as a leader. I attribute a lot of my success in my IT career to Cynthia's leadership skills and knowledge that she freely shared with me and my colleagues.
Cindy is by far the best Manager I have ever worked with. She motivated me to grow as a person and a leader. Her coaching ability helped me step out of my comfort zone to lead better. She has a natural ability to bring a team together she can work with any one.
Cindy is the best leadader I worked with at the Home Depot, I was able to learn from an experienced leader who took the time to care for her team, as well as always find the time to help others to do the right thing. While under constant pressure to deliver many challenging initiatives, all on challenging schedules and budgets, Cindy was always able to get myself and the rest of the team to see the big picture. Cindy would take the extra time to coach and mentor her team to provide the best possible information for the team to work with. Additionally, she was a champion of the team in positioning company's goal and needs with the executives and business partners. Anyone would be quite fortunate to work with, or for, Cindy.
I had an opportunity to work with Cynthia and her Field Deployment team on many different projects. On every meeting that we had all together, I deeply felt two incredibly rare and so valuable overarching themes: Cindy was there to listen carefully to what others had to say, ask the right questions and make appropriate decision; Cindy's team was there to support her and her decisions and to go in the battle for the common good following her lead. Never in my career that I found a team leader being so admired and having such an amazing bond with the team like what I've discovered on those meetings. Even after meetings I would hear Cindy's team members talk only the best about her. Never anything else…ever. When I needed a help or advice from Cindy on how to proceed on my project, she always found time for me. She listened attentively and helped me stay on track every time. Pretty soon I understood why the Team was so devoted to Cindy - she cared and did her best to help and unselfishly share her knowledge. And yes, there was another equally important element of Cindy's leadership that stuck with me until today – she is a true IT professional, very knowledgeable, experienced, always up to speed on the latest trends in the industry. This in-depth understanding of the challenges we were dealing with enabled Cindy to make optimal decisions and determine appropriate path forward. In my professional career I never met another so inspiring leader like Cindy, and for me she will remain a beacon of a true leadership for years to come.
Cindy is the most effective manager I have worked for or with. Cindy is focused on the business objectives and the customer at all times. Cindy is very well organized and understands the business goals and objectives overall and for the specific area she is responsible for. Cindy is a successful communicator working with leaders and professionals to guide them on what specifically is to be accomplished and manages by results. Cindy's experience and expertise are time proven success stories.
I have had the privilege of working with Cynthia and her Team on a number of occasions and found her to be one of those rare leaders with a clear vivid picture of where she wanted to take her Team, as well as a firm vision of what success looked like and how to best achieve it. Her candid yet compassionate approach to crucial conversations, personal integrity, and dedication to her team and their professional goals set her above many of her peers, and is reflected in the performance and tight bonds of the organizations she leads.

I first met Cindy when encouraged to join a book club she started at Home Depot called WILD (Women In Leadership Development). I was amazed at how the women hung on every word of advice Cindy gave. She is a profound speaker who really knows how to encourage and guide people to be their best. I had the pleasure of working for Cindy a year after first meeting her. She gave us leeway to find creative solutions while keeping us focused on results. Under her leadership, we successfully completely major projects like “MDF Refresh” which completely overhauled the I.T. heart of a Home Depot store without interrupting sales. Then we repeated it 200 times! Cindy's ability to improve processes made our project rollouts smooth and successful. Cindy's leadership has shown me how to love my job by being me and always striving for self-improvement. Cindy was a director in our Financial Systems organization and even though I never reported directly to her, I greatly admired her exceptional leadership skills! Cindy was able to maintain and communicate a clear focus on the big-picture direction of our organization, while simultaneously balancing consideration for the people who actually do the work. This is a rare leadership quality that endeared Cindy to the people who reported to her, along with those who had no direct affiliation with her. Cindy kept a rational, common-sense perspective on our business and her role within the organization and was extremely approachable with any issue. Cindy is a leader who's held in high regard by people all around her in the organization, which may be the highest honor a leader can aspire to. She's truly a pleasure to work with and be around!

To be an IT Director at Home Depot, you have to be able to inspire others to produce quality IT solutions, think outside the box, stay in budget, and do what's best for the company, not just yourself, all at the same time. Cindy embodies all these qualities. She's a true partner when called upon and a proven leader. As an IT Architect, I've called upon Cindy to deliver a vision more than once, and she always executed on our common goals.
