Kalon Law firm was recommended to me by a Senior Litigator from the United States Attorney's Office. Chris handled all aspects of my case, dealing with three different civil issues simultaneously. In a recent court appearance, Chris was exceptionally well prepared, articulate and persuasive. He retains all of the qualities anyone would want in their Attorney.
Chris took my case, which was not strong, and got me an excellent result. He doggedly pursued the insurance company, keeping me informed throughout the proceedings, until we reached a settlement that all could be happy with.
Chris is an extremely intelligent and successful attorney. His passion and dedication to his clients is second to none. In addition, his mentorship to law students has been absolutely essential to jumpstarting my career and the careers of my fellow peers. His commitment to mentoring law students through various avenues, including the "Fellow" program at the firm, has created a critical professional network where young lawyers feel comfortable connecting with experienced lawyers. As a founding Fellow, Chris made sure I was always prepared for conferences and client meetings, and he was always available to answer questions on research projects or to offer general advice. Not only is Chris remarkably talented in his line of insurance defense work, but he is also strongly committed to pro bono services and has established a pro bono clinic to contribute to the well-being of the general community. I strongly attribute some of my more recent successes in the newest beginnings in my career to Chris, and I would undoubtedly recommended his legal services and mentorship to clients and students alike.
Chris is innovative, engaging, and collaborative. I have had the pleasure of having Chris as a mentor and colleague at the Kalon Law Firm, and I'm happy to have the chance to work with him.
Chris recently served as a mediator for one of my cases, and did a great job. He spent a considerable amount of time listening to my client, exploring areas that helped increase the settlement value of the case. Ultimately he persuaded the other side to pay more money than they wanted to. He was very attentive and hard working and was a great choice. I will definitely suggest him again.
Chris Kriesen is without question our number one volunteer at Hartford Youth Scholars. Over the last three years he has giv n hundreds of hours to work directly with our scholars preparing them to interview and tell their stories. He has also helped design two initiatives working directly with our recent graduates that enable us to better meet the needs of recent graduates and younger scholars. He has given more to this organization than any other volunteer and we are lucky to have him on our team.
Chris is an excellent trial lawyer with an honest and forthright approach. It is obvious that he cares deeply about the growth and integrity of his profession.
Attorney Kriesen is a thoughtful and engaged mentor and friend. Over the past two years that I have known him, he has committed himself into building Kalon, a law firm that aims to fulfill the triple bottom line - to further environmental, economic, and societal gains. His curiosity about legal matters and current affairs evinces a genuine interest in creating a better business model. He is constantly speaking at conferences, engaging in trainings, and connecting people to help our community. He also offers his time to mentor local law students, cultivate professional activism, and organize community conversations about current events to discuss their impact on the legal world. On a personal level, Attorney Kriesen has helped connect me with a network of lawyers and judges, which has been helpful since I am an untraditional law student. He has also offered me guidance on how to navigate the labyrinth of law school decisions and served as a bridge between the legal world and my current professional network of non-profit and public interest activists. Attorney Kriesen's cultural sensitivity, self-awareness, and continual push for self-growth make him an excellent friend, mentor, and lawyer.
Chris is certainly one to watch out for and I am proud to have in my network! He is a great attorney, but more than that, he is a wonderful mentor and leader. He is more than generous in his willingness to help young lawyers like myself succeed and has a true commitment to the diversity of the legal profession.
Attorney Kriesen is a wonderful combination of intelligence and common sense. He knows the law and advocates strongly and wisely for his clients. He has the proper discretion and tools to assess the case with realistic and educated eyes to best maximize the goals of the client. He is one of the finest examples of civility in the law, no matter which side of the case you are on.
Christopher is a forward-thinking leader. I had the pleasure to work with him at Stanford for the Corporate Innovation program. He is very inspiring, challenges the status quo and is able to reinvent a traditional industry for a radically efficient business model in a result driven and human-centric way. I totally recommend him for any endeavor or innovation challenge.
I have known Chris for many years, starting from when we first co taught the Moot Court Appellate interterm for UCONN Law School and through our practice over the years. He is an excellent lawyer and a great person. He thinks out of the box. Chris has recently launched his own Law Firm which follows a unique business model. He is not just a great lawyer, but also an innovative and forward thinker. It is no wonder that he won the Game Changer Award from the 2018 Connecticut Law Tribune Annual Professional Excellence Awards.
Chris and his team at Kalon recently joined the immigration pro bono network I oversee on behalf of my organization. Chris is extremely passionate about representing vulnerable populations. He is self-driven and highly motivated, taking the initiative to self-educate about new areas of law and accept challenging cases. Chris has also been an asset in sharing his litigation experience as well as ideas for providing online educational content. It has truly been a pleasure partnering with Chris and Kalon, and I look forward to continuing to work together to serve our local immigrant community.
