Charlotte is one of the best attorneys I have worked with. Her work is consistently impressive and clients frequently comment on her detailed writing, effective oral advocacy, and general ability to handle client matters successfully and efficiently. As a leader of our firm's litigation practice, she handles a wide variety of matters. Charlotte is able to negotiate the most complex contracts, always with an eye on the details; handle land use regulations and disputes; direct employment investigations and disputes; and all the while manage a busy practice as City Attorney. Charlotte has acted as a supervisor on many projects and I am always impressed by her leadership skills, coupled with her ability to encourage and motivate co-workers.
Charlotte is one of the most together people you will ever meet. She's a heck of an organizer and go-getter with a sense of humor, poise, and confidence. Her masterful balance of finicky inter-office politics, an ever-shifting workload and a stressful tight schedule is amazing to witness. I always knew that projects we tackled together would be a blast during the process and would wow everyone when we finished! She's dedicated to her job and her employers no matter where she goes, and others always find her a delight to have around the office. I miss working with her every day!
Charlotte is an experienced litigator who handles the full range of litigation and other special projects for Kenyon Disend clients, including labor and employment, condemnation, franchise negotiations, open public meetings and public records issues, and other matters. Charlotte also has significant experience in appellate litigation, including administrative hearings, interlocutory appeals, and expedited appeals in both federal and state court.
Before joining Kenyon Disend, Charlotte was a litigator at McNaul Ebel Nawrot & Helgren, PLLC in Seattle, where her practice was primarily focused on employment and other complex commercial matters. Before that, Charlotte was a defense litigator at the Seattle office of Cozen O’Connor. While completing her law degree at the University of Washington, Charlotte was a clerk for the Honorable Laura C. Inveen of the King County Superior Court, and had leadership roles in the Student Bar Association and the Graduate and Professional Student Senate, and served as the Associate Editor in Chief for the Washington Law Review.
