Practicing law for 24 years, Carson has successfully represented clients in all realms of family law: divorce, custody and paternity disputes, pre- and post-marital agreements, asset tracing, and complex property disputes. Carson currently represents clients on a variety of family law matters throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Carson is Board Certified in Family Law by the State Bar of Texas, is recognized by her peers as a Top Lawyer Under 40, D Magazine (2004), a five-time Texas Rising Star, Thomson Reuters (2005-2009) and holds an AV Preeminent rating by Martindale-Hubbell for her legal ability and ethical standards.  Carson writes and speaks on complex legal issues throughout the State of Texas.
Carson’s extensive legal background sets her apart from her peers. Carson gained significant trial experience as a criminal prosecutor in Bexar County, zealously advocating for her clients and then earned big firm training at Jackson Walker, LLP, one of the oldest and largest Texas-based law firms. Since 1997, Carson has dedicated her practice exclusively to family law.
Drawing on the skills she acquired as a prosecutor and her in-depth knowledge of family law, Carson is a formidable opponent in every case. As a wife and mother of two young children, Carson understands and is empathetic to the negative effect that contentious family law matters have on a family as a whole. She is compassionate about helping clients in crisis identify what is most important to them, minimize conflict, and navigate the often painful emotional and financial burdens associated with family law matters to achieve the best possible outcome.
