I am a business transaction attorney and C.P.A. providing services to closely held businesses with a unique focus on family owned companies and the creation of healthy family legacies.
I draw from my law school education, C.P.A. and litigation experience to create and review business agreements and policies with an eye to avoiding future conflicts. I am an experienced strategic business and financial advisor and former start up CEO, who is able to help clients identify and solve the problems that keep them from moving forward. Whether my clients are forming a business, or working to take it to the next level, I work with them on: strategic and financial planning; intellectual property and brand management protection; risk assessment; succession and exit planning; human resource conflict issues and leadership development. Having innate common sense, I easily find simple paths that cut through the expense of complexity.   With my unique blend of legal, financial and business ownership experience I guide clients to strengthen their ability to build a thriving workforce and sustainable business.
As a mentor and mediator, I inspire your workforce to solve conflicts that keep them from reaching their full potential personally and professionally and impact the overall performance of the company. I believe successful businesses are those that draw upon the unique abilities of each of their members to the benefit of the whole and the detriment of none. They are businesses where management and employees have been taught to work together and gain the coping skills they need to capitalize on the different personalities and points of view.
I enjoy international travel and love learning about different cultures, spiritual, religious and political beliefs, food and day to day lives.  I love the outdoors and physical activity and have hiked Mt. Whitney and the Grand Canyon. I like the challenge of diverse physical activities and have recently take up motorcycle riding, played on the trapeze and rappelling. I am a fan of ballroom dancing and love music.  I  sustain peace of mind and hone my interpersonal skills such as listening, communication and conflict resolution through meditation, yoga and the study of DBT (dialectical behavioral training).  I am an avid reader.
