Mrs McPheron was on my legal plan and I essentially choose her because of that. I was worried about it essentially being a 'free' service, but she was great. I didn't have a lot of issues (no custody battles), but there still is so much. She was very patient answering any questions and even after the divorce was final answered a question for me. We communicated mainly by email, which I preferred and made it easy to keep track. I would recommend Mrs McPherson. T.D.
I do not think that the 4000 characters that this text box allows is enough to properly describe how amazing and remarkable Britney is. Britney was retained last minute to represent me in a nasty custody battle within a week of the trial date. Between Britney and April, they put together a powerful presentation and amazing case that made the mother just walk out of the courtroom and get in her car and drive away right in the middle of the trial. As funny as this may sound, it is a true testament to the dedication and willingness to prepare above and beyond for her clients. I put off retaining counsel because I didn't think that a lawyer was really needed in a custody battle where the mother was obviously unfit, but throughout the process Britney was more of a friend than a lawyer. No matter what time of the day or night, she was only an email or phone call away to answer some of the craziest questions or calm any concerns that I had. Retaining Britney and her firm to represent me was truly one of the smartest things I have done. I see a few negative posts regarding billing. While I can only speak from my personal experiences, I can assure you that the money that I spent, was more than worth it. A good lawyer, especially one that deals with family/domestic cases, is not going to be cheap. If you are bargain shopping, you will more than likely end up with a bargain lawyer. There are so many factors that play into the final cost of custody cases. I received quotes ranging from 2-13k for a lawyer in my personal case. My final fees were nowhere near that amount. To be honest, I would spend it all over again if needed. You cannot put a price tag on a powerful lawyer that will genuinely represent you like Britney and her firm did. Simply put, if you have a custody or divorce case, I would not recommend anyone besides Britney.
