Prior to becoming a lawyer, I was a small business owner with my brother. While challenging, I immensely enjoyed building a company from scratch and take great pride in what we created. However, business (and life in general) is not filled with “rainbows and butterflies” and we soon found ourselves facing a frivolous lawsuit from a “professional plaintiff.” To make matters worse, we had agreements with two (2) publicly traded corporations, which both had indemnification agreements (meaning we were stuck defending them)! Suddenly, our “American Dream” became a living nightmare and I found myself helplessly trying to navigate and understand legal issues beyond my comprehension.
When all was said and done, the experience had irreversibly changed me. I chose to use my experience to help others by becoming an advocate for small businesses and small business owners.
While there are all kinds of business lawyers out there, Marc and I choose to take a proactive approach to solving the legal issues that affect growing companies. More accurately, we help aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners prevent legal complications before they arise.
Through our transactional work, we are able to help local business owners choose the right entity type for their needs, minimize tax burdens, make smart real estate decisions, and even protect their companies for generations to come by setting up well-rounded business succession plans and estate plans.

Of course, business owners aren’t the only people we work with, and one of my favorite things about working with Marc is our shared passion for getting to know our clients. We genuinely enjoy forming relationships with them and being available whenever they need our guidance. In fact, many of the clients we have today are the children of some of Marc’s earliest clients. If that doesn’t tell you what kind of law firm we run, nothing can.

Outside of work, I spend as much time as I can with my wonderful wife (who — fun fact — also happens to be Marc’s daughter) and our beautiful little girl. I also try to stay active by bicycling whenever I get the chance.
