I'M HAPPY TO SAY I hired Brett Pritchard after a Free Consultation in March of this year regarding a SAPCR Suit in which I filed. During that consultation I felt that he felt my pain and trusted Brett and his firm to do the best job that they could do for my case, which I understood could have been very lengthy and very costly. I cared for a child for over 11 years that I had no legal rights too. After the biological parent decided she wanted her child to live with her, and after the child told me they didn't want to go, I had to do something, so I filed a SAPCR (Suit Affecting the Parent-Child Relationship) afterwards I needed an Attorney!!! Everyone in his office felt my pain, well at least that's how I felt, from the Receptionist, to the paralegals to the Attorneys, everyone was warm, kind, polite and extremely Professional. Brent Sykora was my Attorney from the law firm, he was very helpful, always available if I needed to speak with him, keeping me advised with important information regarding my case. The paralegals are the best in responding to your messages and uploading any and all documentation. I could log into the portal anytime of the day or night to check my case information, which included everything from documents to billing. Whenever I would visit the office, the most wonderful stylish lady greeted me with a smile and kinds words. Without making my story into a book, I am now Joint Conservator Manager of my Sweetheart. We are now able to see each other again without anyone saying otherwise. Through Mediation the opposing party finally agreed to Joint Custody to avoid Trial, we were indeed ready for Trial!! I know who will have my business should I need to seek legal counsel again. In the best interest of the child is the part that most adults forget, it's not about us, it's about that precious child and keeping those he loves in their life. Do your research if this happens to you, clearly you have rights in the State of Texas if you cared for a child for a six month period regardless if you're related to the child or not, but you have a 60 day window to file paperwork or you'll forfeit your rights and lose any chance you have to remain in the child's life. You MUST Seek good/excellent Counsel to ensure that you are Represented accordingly. Thank you Attorneys, Brett Pritchard and Brent Sykora and the total Pritchard Law Firm. You guys took a lot of stress out of my life, and I will surely hire you again, should the need arise!!
Mr. Pritchard recently represented me and I couldn't be more satisfied. He possess a level of knowledge and professionalism that is very rare in an attorney. He is both passionate and experienced with the ability to be honest in an effort to get the job done. My case was closed over 3 months early with the help of Mr. Pritchard's counsel. I was given "best" and "worst" case scenarios regarding my case and advice on how to achieve the outcome I wanted. This firm stands out from the competition for many reasons. The "go getter" assertiveness, organization, knowledge, fairness, and competency of this firm are top notch! Would recommend to anyone!
Great Attorney
I am the founder and owner of the Law Office of Brett H. Pritchard. I founded the Law Office of Brett H. Pritchard in May 1999, and have been practicing in the area in the nearly two decades since that time. I handle cases concerning Family Law, CPS, Criminal Law, and Personal Injury.
I grew up the son of a military family: I moved from Hawaii, to Alabama, to Alaska, and finally ended up in Texas, which became my home. After graduating from Brigham Young University in Utah with a BS in Political Science, I returned to Texas to attend Law School at Texas Tech University. Following my graduating and certification as a lawyer by the State Bar of Texs, I began practicing in Central Texas. I have grown a reputation as a fierce litigator and a strong proponent for parents' rights when CPS has taken their children. I am particulary experienced in all facets of Family Law, including Military Divorce.
Outside of the workplace, I enjoy spending time with my family (consisting of my wife, Cindy, and 8 children: 5 boys, and 3 girls). I am a strong proponent of child abuse prevention and helping those that need assistnce to live as normal and as fulfilling lives as possible, and my firm is known throughout the community to support organizations that have taken up those causes.
