I am very disappointed with Mr. Leibrock. He agreed to take my case, his assistant emailed me a contract, I signed the contract and emailed it back to her. I did not hear anything back for 2 weeks either acknowledging receipt of the contract or the next steps regarding my case. When I emailed his assistant asking if she had received the contract or had any updates on my case, Mr. Leibrock replied the next day and said: "Unfortunately with the holiday and our work schedule we have not done any more activity on your case. At this time I believe that you would be better suited with another attorney. As such we will not be moving forward with assisting you on this matter, and you will not be billed for the work performed to date. I wish you the best in your endeavors." So I cannot recommend Mr. Leibrock who provided a contract outlining what he would and would not do for the case and then decide to drop me without providing a reason.
Brandon handled my case and was knowledgeable, professional and responsive. He knew exactly the legal issues related to getting me my dismissal and helped me through a very difficult experience. I would recommend him highly for any case. He took the time to listen to my experiences and was able to distill the crucial components to effectively defend me.

As a former police officer & detective as well as through my work with the Sacramento and Colusa County District Attorney’s Offices and The City of Sacramento’s Civil Service Board, I know how the other side works. It often IS the difference between conviction and dismissal.
I became a defense attorney because I saw the bias of the justice system firsthand—improper arrests, unfair treatments, and violation of rights. Now I fight for my clients to ensure that they receive a fair outcome and a second chance.
My extensive experience in law enforcement gives my clients a true advantage. I know how investigations need to be conducted and can anticipate potential mistakes. In pre-trial stage, I work to avoid any charges being filed. If we have to go to trial, I do everything possible to have the charges dismissed or have my client acquitted.
As a criminal defender, I represent clients in cases ranging from rape, arson, murder, to assault. I am also an expert in Driving Under the Influence (DUI) defense. As a police officer I was trained as a DUI instructor by the California Highway Patrol. This training is not usually available to defense attorneys. That insight helps me to have charges dismissed that might be procedural.
I know firearms and not just firearms law–I am a certified California Department of Justice (DOJ) and Peace Officers Standard and Training (POST) firearms instructor with a federal firearm’s license with an in-depth knowledge of current law and upcoming legislative changes. A life time member of the NRA, I am a firearms enthusiast, successfully representing clients with felony possession, unregistered assault weapons, concealed weapon without permit, and concealed carry permit violations.
I grew up in Sacramento and was also educated here. I am a member of the Sacramento County Bar Association.
